MISSING PARIS
Well...I've been back for a few weeks from our time in Paris, and as you can imagine I am missing it like crazy. I even started work on a little poem when I was out walking a couple of days ago.
It's still the same feet.
It's still the same shoes.
It's just a different street.
With a different view.
Paris is becoming my new home.
Yet Portland will always be in my heart.
Sigh...thank goodness I have so many images to peruse from our trip to Paris.
I believe I snapped close to 600 photos, many of them of my beloved Torn Posters. They will be up on this site soon. I think it might just be my best batch yet.

I am super excited to announce my next show! The "Torn Posters of Paris...and Beyond" is going beyond the borders of Portland all the way to the Oregon coastal town of Astoria. Yes, indeed, the fine folks at Cargo Astoria have extended an invitation to showcase my work in their beautiful location on 11th St. next to the Astoria Coffee house & Bistro. The show opens on January 5th and will be up until the end of February. Can't wait for you to see it as it will be full of new work and a few of my favorites from my previous show. More details to follow as we get closer to the show.
MY NEXT SHOW!
BACK IN PARIS
BACK IN PARIS
My friend, Mickalene Thomas, will be the first African-American artist to be honored with a major solo exhibition at the Grand Palais in Paris. "All About Love" is a vibrant retrospective exploring the visibility and representation of Black women while celebrating love as a force of liberation, self-affirmation, and joy. We met up with Mickalene at her most recent gallery show in Paris in October and the work is magnificent. "All About Love" opens December 17th and will be up until April 5, 2026.

BACK IN PORTLAND
If you haven't done so already make sure to check out the "new and improved" Portland Art Museum. It is simply quite amazing and has turned an already brilliant space into a world class museum. Two spaces not to miss: the new Rothko Pavilion and Marco Brambilia's "Heaven's Gate." Wow!

Fashion week was incredible.
We lived on the fringes of it, but did run into Lynn Yeager who is a contributing editor to Vogue, The New York Times and others. When she commented on my Torn Poster jumper I was wearing she commented it was "fabulous!"
